Forest Way Bunkhouse information notes for Cioch members
As a result of a suggestion in January, we are venturing to a new Cioch meet venue for July 2021.
Since the closure of Sail Mhor bunkhouse near Dundonnell, we’ve heen on the hunt for a new venue in the Lochbroom area. This bunkhouse is located beside the A835, 10 miles south of Ullapool. It’s website boasts 26 Munros, 19 Corbetts and 16 Grahams on their ‘doorstep’. We know this area well and its an ideal base for hillwalking.
This seems to be a fairly new bunkhouse, the website photos look good. All bed linen is supplied by the bunkhouse. This bunkhouse is fairly remote from restaurants and bars, so come well prepared to cater for your own food and drinks or be prepared to drive up to 10 miles to eat out.
There are two bedrooms and each bedroom has two bunkbeds with private en-suite shower and toilet. Thebunkhouse also benefits from an underfloor heating system and reliable showers.
There is a shared kitchen/dining and lounge area. The kitchen has all the usual appliances and all cookware and cutlery is provided. They have a large effective drying room.
